Undergraduate Research Expo Series: Moiya McTier

On September 14th, we hosted our first Undergraduate Research Expo. Eleven students from Tufts, MIT and Harvard held short Ted-Talk style on a topic of their choice. Here is the profile of presenter Moiya McTier:

Moiya McTier is a junior at Harvard. She spent the summer researching the properties of a nearby galaxy at the national Radio Astronomy Observatory. Through this research, she discussed the characteristics of the universe, including the use of atomic fine structure lines in determining characteristic of sources in our universe.
